If you are a user of MS Excel then you must need to calculate of percentage. So now we are here to tell you an easy way to calculate percentages in Excel.

Enter a Percentage

1. To calculate we enter a decimal value in the cell.

Now go To the Home tab, in the Number group, and tap the percentage symbol to calculate the percentage of the value.

2. If you want to calculate a percentage of a total in excel then you can see the below example.

in this function divide the value of cell A1 by cell B1 value. As you know that to divide the value we use slash(/) in excel.

Now go To the Home tab, in the Number group, and tap the percentage symbol to calculate the percentage of the value.

3. Now go To the Home tab, in the Number group, and tap the Increase Decimal button to Increase the percentage of the value.

Increase by Percentage

If you want to increase your value by a percentage then you can increase it through the excel function. 

1. First we have to take any number that you want to increase by 30%.

Example: We take a 150 now we want to increase it by 30% then we just use an excel function.

Use excel function =A1*(1+B1)

Decrease by Percentage

If you want to decrease your value by a percentage then you can decrease it through the excel function. 

1. First we have to take any number that you want to decrease by 30%.

Example: We take a 150 now we want to decrease it by 30% then we just use an excel function.

Use this Excel Formula = A1*(1-B1)

Percentage Change

To calculate the percentage change between two values in Excel, complete the steps.

1. First enter a value in Cell A1 and Cell B1.

2. Then calculate the percentage change between A1 and B1.

3. Then use this excel function =(B1-A1)/A1

Now go To the Home tab, in the Number group, and tap the percentage symbol to calculate the percentage of the value.
